No! We are Unrivaled, the largest tabletop tournament of the year! Our $250k in cash and prizes, staff (hello out there!), relationships with the publishers of all six participating games, and desire to create an amazing event for gaming fans out there are ALL 100% real.

2. How much does Unrivaled cost?

Unrivaled costs you absolutely nothing! See “How do I sign-up?” for details on how you can join the tournament.

3. What’s in it for me?

Glory! Fame! Bragging rights! Want more? Okay, we’ve got you covered. See “What prizes can be won by players?”

4. Where is Unrivaled being held?

Unrivaled is broken down into three stages: Satellites, Regionals, and Finals.

  • Satellite Tournaments are held at local Unrivaled sanctioned stores.
  • Regionals will be held at 11 different locations. Click here to find a Regionals Tournament near you.
  • The Unrivaled Tournament Series Finals will be held in Las Vegas in October 2017.

What prizes can be won by players?

Good question! Let us break it down for you:

  • 1st place: $10,000
  • 2nd place: $5000
  • 3rd place: $2500
  • 4th place: $1000

Game Chic is also offering a custom table to each 1st place winner at the Unrivaled Finals. Now, wouldn’t that look pretty darn great in your living room? It gets better: More prizes will be announced soon!

How do I sign-up?

Use the Unrivaled Search Tool to find a sanctioned store near you. If your local game store is not sanctioned, you should bite, claw, and kick them until they become an official Unrivaled venue!

Can I be a Finalist in more than one game?

Yes! We understand you might be a pro at more than one game and we want to give you as many chances as possible to show everyone just how awesome you really are.

How many participants will there be?

A lot! Obviously, the number of players in each store’s Satellite Tournament will vary and more stores are signing up everyday. Each sanctioned store will send winners for each of the six games to Regionals. And the winners there will head to the Finals in Las Vegas!

When do the tournaments start?

Satellites will start at the beginning of April.

Where can I find the Unrivaled Tournament Series rules?

Here!

Will there be any travel stipends for Regionals or the Finals?

Yes, Unrivaled will be providing travel vouchers and hotel accommodations for everyone that qualifies for the Finals.

No, players are placed in Regionals based on their sanctioned Store’s location.

In Cruel Seas, ( by Warlord Games ) you take on the role of a naval crew manning their fragile coastal craft as they head out day and night to take on both the sea and the enemy. Command your flotilla of small ships as they head out to attack a convoy, drop off Commandoes for a behind-the-lines mission or task them with one of the other myriads of missions this small and versatile craft would perform.

Team Yankee ( Battlefront Miniatures ) is a tabletop miniatures wargame that is set in a fictional World War III in 1985 based on the novel of the same name by Harold Coyle.

The game is a standard two player miniature wargame with each player taking command of a company or battalion level force consisting of hand painted miniatures. The game provides one 6 different missions for the purpose of pickup games. There are also several scenarios in the book that allow the players to recreate some of the battles from the Team Yankee novel.

Both formats are new player friendly, and are the most fun you can have blowing up your friends.

    July 19, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Game Empire, 1795 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91106, USA

    Series: War of the Spark

    Draft Entry - $15.00

Want a way to play that offers a level playing field and lets you check out new cards at the same time? Then a limited format like booster draft may be for you. Unlike constructed formats, where you arrive with a carefully constructed deck ready to play, limited formats allow you to build a deck from new cards as part of the game.

At the start of booster draft, each player opens a booster pack and picks a single card. (Don’t show the other players what you pick!) Then everyone passes the rest of their pack to player on their left, each player then picks a card from the pack they just received before passing again. This process continues until all the cards in those packs have been drafted. Then each player opens a second pack, but this time, you pass the pack to your right. After all those cards are drafted, you do the same with the third pack, passing to the left again.
