Finally placed the PFS game to start at the morning slot (10 AM) with Pathfinder Society Scenario # 2-13: Murder on the Throaty Mermaid.

You've been tasked by the Pathfinder Society to guard someone very important while they're making their voyage home onboard the infamous smuggling vessel, the Throaty Mermaid- what could possibly go wrong with this? Chances are, you're about to find out...

For those first-timers interested in starting out with Pathfinder Society, you can find more information at:

http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/scenarios/v5748btpy84k4

The above is the guide for creating characters in PFS. It is a free downloadable pdf but you would have to register on the website in order to download; that is also how you can obtain your required PFS number too by clicking on:

All characters in PFS would have to join up with one of 5 different factions, of which more can be found here:

There has been a recent change made to PFS "replays" that has not yet been placed into the PFS guide but is currently under effect. You can find that information at:

http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizoPublishing/pathfinder/pathfinderSociety/general/pFSUpdateOfficialReplayRules

And further updated resources for what is available for Pathfinder Society can be found here:

Note that the playtest classes for the Magus, Gunslinger, Ninja, and Samurai can be found here:

Now in terms of "Character Builders" for Pathfinder, their offically sanctioned version is Herolab, made by the fine folks at Lone Wolf Development, which can be found at:

http://www.wolflair.com/index.php?context=hero_lab

It can be fully demoed, but it doesn't actually print any output until you purchase it.

Other character builders can be found at these areas:

http://pcgen.sourceforge.net/03_get_pcgen.php

http://theonlysheet.com/homepage/

http://venturecaptain.com/Default.aspx

The Pcgen is it's own character builder set while trovetokens is a web-based app. All others are excel-based character "sheets". The venturecaptain one is in beta and is mostly an online character builder (tends to freeze up for me, use at your own risk)

Sign-ups for this PFS game (and many other fine tabletop rpg games) can be found here:
