I am sold on Bolt Action Action after playing it last night. The points are really well done and I feel cover any need for a force organization limitation. The idea that two forces should be equal in strength is very unrealistic. Attacking a force at 1:1 odds is not wise. Therefore. I am going to ask to play more attacker vs. defender battles. I have not studied the 6 scenarios in the rules but would rather pull some already tested scenarios from other games and see how they balance. The other great idea is to have a ref to game master/rule hunt for players. Another idea is what we ran last game, a balance meeting engagement that has no time limit or physical objective, but is more about maneuvering. The key to the game IMHO is the turn system, great point values, and Minis. Let me know what you guys think.
