Pirates of the Spanish Main

Hey folks,

I'm relatively new to this group. i dabbled in RPG as a child, but grew out of it.

My bf recently passed away last fall and I was going through his storage unit and found an entire box marked Pirates of the Spanish Main. I was overjoyed to finally find all his little styrene ships, as he had dabbled with some of them when we lived together but never played the game fully.

I don't know anything about the game, but I LOVE the little models. I intend to keep them on a shelf, but I would like to learn more about the game.

Anyone here familiar with the game and could potentially teach me how to play?

I know how to play, but there isn't a standing group of people as far as I know. It's not really a RPG, more of a tactical tabletop game. However, they did make a role-playing game out of it using the Savage Worlds system.
