Dystopian Wars

Is anybody playing this game? The universe looks intriguing and the models look like they would be a lot of fun to paint.

I've got a half-painted Rising Sun naval box, and I've been meaning to get the armored box and the flying carrier. But I haven't done more than put a few of my figures down on the table to see how the rules work. I know product moves off the store shelves, but I haven't yet seen anyone playing it in the store.

I don't know if you have any models or not. If you do, I'll be more than happy to face off against you with my Empire of the Blazing Sun naval task group. If not, then I'd be willing to give you a brief demonstration of the rules using some of the warships - either a quartet of frigates for each player, or a "juggernaut versus midgets" battle.

The same offer applies to anyone else who's interested.

Just give me some times when you'll be available, and I'll try and match my schedule to accomodate.

Hey Junior,

I might be picking up the Covenant of Antarctica naval set at Gencon this year. If I do, I'd love a demo of the game. Thanks!

I will be at Game Empire tomorrow night with my Empire of the Blazing Sun forces. The Empress, in her infinite wisdom and compassion, has ordered the Imperial Army to crush the barbarians of the Federated States of America (commanded by Travis). Should something come up and Travis be unable to play, I will have both ground and naval forces ready to do battle against any foolish enough to resist the infinite wisdom and compassion of the Divine Empress.

So if you're interested in the game but haven't yet seen it played, come on by. If you've got forces that you've been itching to play, bring them in. You might even be able to find an opponent before the evening's over.

So widespread is the knowledge of her Divine Imperial Majesty Shinzua's infinite wisdom and compassion that the barbarians of the FSA didn't even bother to put in an appearence!

Translation - There were some last minute issues that popped up last night, and Travis wasn't able to play. The two of us did engage in some brainstorming regarding Dystopian Wars, though, and a game *will* take place - probably in the next couple of weeks.

Possibly more to come before then.

Check it out - we have two tables of Dystopian Wars raging right now. This game looks cool. We will start supporting it more now that we have pretty much completed the move.

The brainstorm session resulted in a lot of good ideas, and I got connected with the guys who were playing the following day, so we've got a nascent group sprouting. My immediate plan is to get a table or two built specifically for the game, after which I can watch my ships all get sunk in style!

Stay tuned, more to come!

Are you guys focusing more on the naval aspect of it right now?
