Would you need to purchase Last Night on Earth to play Growing Hunger because it is a expansion set or is it a different game to the saga?

all the expansions add to core game
the game is fun with just the core game ,but the expansions add more fun and add to the replayability(more scenarios,different zombie types,more human characters,etc....

right now I have everything printed by Flying Frog for it
