Things to do when not gaming...

Postby Game Empire Chris » Wed Jan 05, 2011 8:01 pm

So does anyone have any thing they like to do outside of gaming? Any places to go in LA to have some fun? One of the things I have recently picked up is called Tales of the Extraordinary. It's an old fashion radio show that allows audience members and even has them join in for the sound effects. It's pretty cool and something to do while dungeon master is on break

I go fishing.

I would suggest to everyone to try it at least once.

My dad taught me how to fish when I was very young. Stream fishing is my favorite form of fishing - I get to outsmart the fish! I would love to do more fishing. Where do you go fishing?

The wonderful pacific ocean.

Its peaceful and if I don't catch fish, at least I got to spend some time at the beach!

My single biggest hobby outside of gaming is drumming. As it happens, I like almost midway between GE and the Remo Recreational Music Center. This is about the only good thing I've been able to say about Glendale.

I'm never not gaming. Even when I go to bed, I roll 1d20 every six seconds to see if I fail my save vs. sleep this round.

More seriously, though: I read lots of books. Currently working my war through the Old Man's War series by John Scalzi.

I homebrew beer. By far my favorite thing to do outside the hobby. Currently working on a Wee heavy Scottish Ale with a California twist.

Sleep, eat, study, work, raise my kids, spoil my wife, garden, shoot, camp, work on thesis and try to find more time... that sums up what I do when I am not gaming. Not much really.
