Starting a boardgame group

Postby micks » Thu Oct 20, 2011 11:55 pm

Hi everyone, I'm looking to get a regular board game group going at Game Empire. I currently have two games in my possession, Twilight Struggle and The Civil War (just bought this last weekend and still learning it myself). These are both 2 player games. Of course I'll play whatever you have too. I am very familiar with Through the Ages, the new Civilization, Settlers of Catan, and Colosseum.

I am available to play mainly on Fridays and weekends, but during the week isn't out of the question either. If anyone wants to play tonight (10/21) or this weekend let me know.

micks, I'm a wargamer but unfortunately I'm moving out of town in about a week. Game Empire's owner, Chuck, has been a wargamer for decades, and he can point out the other regulars who are into it. There's a lot of board gaming action on Wednesday nights at the store, and someone who comes there quite often is Leo Libman, one of my regular opponents. Drop by on a Wednesday, ask for Chuck, then ask him to point Leo out to you - you can probably get a game of Twilight Struggle going that night.

Thanks a lot for the tip, Erich. Sorry to hear you are leaving town (unless you want to leave). I will probably be doing the same in a month or two, but that's another story. Hopefully I can track down Leo and play some games in the meantime :)
